Kornuth Hits Straight Against Saliba
Niveau 21
: Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Justin Saliba raised to 550,000 with the A♣5♣ and Chance Kornuth called with the Q♦J♣ in the big blind. The flop brought K♠J♦10♣ and Kornuth checked his second pair and open-ended straight draw. Saliba made it 600,000 to go and Kornuth came along to see the 9♠ on the turn which gave Kornuth the straight.
Kornuth checked once more and Saliba fired a second barrel for 1,300,000 to earn a check-call from Kornuth.
That brought the 2♠ on the river and Kornuth tossed out one time bank extension before he jammed all-in, Saliba instantly folded.
