2024 World Series of Poker
Isaac Haxton raised to 7,000 in the hijack and was called by Lewis Spencer in the big blind. Haxton then continued for 15,000 on the Q♥K♣10♥ flop and Spencer check-called.
On the 6♥ turn, both players checked before Spencer threw in 12,000 on the 7♥ river.
Haxton weighed his options for a bit but eventually tossed in a call. Spencer tabled K♦7♠ for two pair and raked in the pot when Haxton mucked his cards.
"You had a thin-value-betting face on," tablemate Daniel Negreanu told Spencer.
"What gave it away? The fact that I bet 25 percent of the pot?" Spencer asked rhetorically.
Picking up the action on the turn, Masashi Oya in the small blind was involved in a hand with Ben Heath in middle position.
With the board reading 4♣Q♠9♥A♣ Oya checked to Heath, who bet 58,000. Oya mulled it over before making the call to send action to the river.
Both players checked to showdown on the 6♥ river and Oya turned over Q♣9♣ for two pair to win the pot.
Three-way to a turn of 9♣9♦7♠6♠, with around 47,000 chips in the middle, the action checked to Jason Koon on the button.
He fired a bet of 18,000, after which Dylan Weisman raised to 78,000 on the button. Masashi Oya quickly folded in the hijack and Koon eventually followed suit to grant the pot to Weisman.
Meanwhile, Christoph Vogelsang took his seat at this table.
Orpen Kisacikoglu opened to 9,000 on the button and Seth Davies defended in the big blind.
Action checked through the J♣7♣6♦ flop to the board pairing J♥ turn at which point Davies led out for 7,000. Kisacikoglu made the call to see a river.
The river came 9♦, prompting Davies to check to Kisacikoglu, who, after some hesitation, checked back. Davies tabled K♥6♥, good enough to take down the pot as Kisacikoglu told Davies "I thought you had a seven, you tricked me!"
In a heads-up pot on a flop of A♦9♣2♦, Chris Hunichen bet 6,000 from the cutoff and Jonathan Jaffe raised to 26,000 on the button. Hunichen called.
Hunichen checked on the A♥ turn and Jaffe checked back. The 10♦ river also checked through and Hunichen showed 9♠8♣ to win the pot with a pair of nines.

Jonathan Jaffe had three-bet an earlier open to 22,000 in the hijack before Joao Vieira made it 54,000 to go on the button. The original raiser folded before Jaffe put in a call.
Jaffe then checked to Vieira on the J♣7♥5♦ flop before calling his bet of 30,000 chips.
Vieira sized up to 120,000 on the 4♠ turn, and this time Jaffe decided to check-fold
Picking up the action on the turn, Chris Brewer in middle position was involved in a hand with Adrian Mateos on the button.
With the board reading K♦10♦5♠J♥ Brewer checked to Mateos, who bet out 55,000. After some time, Brewer called.
Brewer checked again following the 2♥ river. Mateos, unwilling to go to a cheap showdown, pushed 155,000 across the betting line, representing roughly a pot sized bet. That sent Brewer into the tank as he considered a decision for a significant number of chips early in the day. Eventually, he decided his hand was too strong to lay down and tossed in a calling chip holding K♠10♥ for two pair. Mateos could only muster Q♥J♣ for a pair of jacks with blockers to broadway to send the massive pot over to Brewer.
