Oconnell Flops Top Set, Eliminates Seiver

Drew Oconnell opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 20,000. Scott Seiver moved all in for 23,000 from the button and Nazar Buhaiov called the 23,000 from the small blind. Oconnell called and players went heads up to a flop with Seiver all in and at risk.

Action checked through on 8♦3♦Q♠ before Buhaiov led for 40,000 on the 5♠ turn. Oconnell made the call.

Buhaiov checked the 4♦ river over to Oconnell who fired 70,000. Buhaiov made the laydown. Oconnell tabled Q♦Q♣ for the winner. Seiver showed K♥6♣ before heading to the payout desk.

There were around 300,000 chips in the pot on a board of 4♣J♥4♦9♦ when James Broom fired a bet of 50,000 into Iulian Blebea, who called.

A K♥ landed on the river and Broom gathered all but one of his chips and slid them forward, a bet of around 115,000. Blebea went deep into thought and took around two minutes before he eventually released his hand.

The flop came Q♥Q♣7♦ and Oconnell was quick to check. Soika continued for 22,000 and was only called by Oconnell.

While the turn peeled the 9♠ Soika fired for 60,000. Oconnell three bet to 120,000 and was eventually called by Soika.

The river came the 7♠ and Soika was quick to check to Oconnell. He continued for 165,000 and saw a quick fold from Soika.
