Massive Cooler Leads to Chopped Pot

Niveau 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Stephen Dauphinais raised to 2,400,000 from middle position. Justin Carey then three-bet to 7,000,000. Dauphinais decided to go all in for roughly 35,000,000. Carey snap called, Dauphinais knew the bad news before the cards were flipped over, you could see the pain on his face.

Stephen Dauphinais: AK All in
Justin Carey: AA

The dealer then fanned a miracle flop of JQ10. Dauphinais was elated, until the K fell on the turn. The inconsequential 3 river card meant this pot would be chopped.

Kim, Savir Chop it Up to Amusement of Table

Niveau 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Alex Kim raised to 2,400,000 in early position, and then Owen Savir moved all in for his remaining 14,100,000.

Action folded back to Kim, who asked for a count. The dealer confirmed Savir’s chip count.

“This might be it,” Kim said to his rail before calling to put Savir at risk.

Owen Savir: AQ All in
Alex Kim: AQ

“Boo!” a few of the tablemates joked when seeing the tabled hands.

Kim and Savir were likely headed to a chop, and that’s exactly what happened after the dealer fanned 52638 on the board to ensure a split pot.
