Moorman in a Tough Spot

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

In a blind versus blind situation, Chris Moorman in the big blind bet 500 on a flop of 779 but the small blind check-raised to 1,200.

Moorman called, then called again when the small blind fired a second barrel of 2,700 on the J turn.

The 6 completed the board and the small blind bet 7,100. Moorman went into the tank for more than three minutes but eventually folded.

2024 WSOP $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty Kicks Off at 12 PM

Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2024 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Today sees the start of Event #57: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas.

This single-day event gets underway at 12 p.m. local time, with late registration open for 12 levels (approx. 4:30 p.m.). There will be 15-minute breaks every six levels of play. A 60-minute dinner break is scheduled after Level 21, expected to take place around 7:45 p.m. There is no reentry in this event.

The starting stack is 60,000 chips, with levels lasting 20 minutes each. Each player has a $3,000 bounty on their head and those bounties can only be redeemed after 7 p.m.

Last year’s event saw a field of 642 entries, generating a prize pool of $4,044,600. The winner was Phil Hellmuth, who defeated Justin Zaki heads-up to win $803,818 and his record-extending 17th WSOP bracelet.

"This is the first year of my career that all the great players called me great or the greatest." Hellmuth told PokerNews. "Shaun Deeb is one of the greatest players in the world. He finally understood and was giving me compliments like "you're the best player in the tournament.'"
