Kevin Song Eliminated in 8th Place ($46,281)

Niveau 33 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Kevin Song
Kevin Song

The action folded to Manelic Minaya in the small blind who shoved all in, and Kevin Song made the call for his last 1,500,000 from the big blind.

Kevin Song: K10 All in
Manelic Minaya: K7

Song was the favorite to win the hand and double up but everything changed once the dealer put out a flop of 2AJ, which gave Minaya the nut flush. There was no chance for Song to win the hand as the meaningless runout of 84 confirmed his elimination in eighth place.

Buck Bucceri
Buck Bucceri

Buck Bucceri shoved from the middle position for around 4,400,000 for the action to fold to Felix Barriga in the big blind. Barriga looked down at his hole cards and quickly made the call.

Buck Bucceri: 109 All in
Felix Barriga: AA

Bucceri put his hands in his hair and nodded while Barriga quickly shouted out what he held to his rail while the rest of the players at the table smiled.

The flop came 75K to keep Barriga ahead.

The turn was the 8 for Bucceri to pick up the open-ended straight draw but the river completed the board with the 5. Bucceri was eliminated in ninth place and quickly made his way off the stage while all the players congratulated Barriga and each other.

A Double-Up for Barriga

Niveau 33 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Felix Barriga
Felix Barriga

Manelic Minaya raised to 600,000 from the early position and Felix Barriga three-bet to 2,100,000 from the hijack to leave himself with 1,000,000 behind. The action folded back to Minaya, who considered it for a bit and then called.

The flop came K4J, Minaya put Barriga all in, who snap-called.

Felix Barriga: AQ All in
Manelic Minaya: AQ

"Split pot!" Minaya exclaimed. "Oh no, wait, I didn't see that," he then commented when he saw that Barriga had the flush draw.

The turn was the 7, which didn't change anything, but the 2 on the river did deliver the flush to Barriga for the double-up.

Minetti Doubles Through Runge

Niveau 33 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Michael Minetti
Michael Minetti

Paul Runge shoved from the button for around 3,900,000 and Michael Minetti called out of the big blind for his last 2,125,000.

Michael Minetti: KJ All in
Paul Runge: 109

Minetti was ahead and at risk and felt slightly more relaxed after seeing the 3K4 flop, which improved him to top pair. Runge would need running cards to eliminate his opponent but neither the 8 turn nor 7 river offered any help.

Sean Jazayeri opened under the gun to 450,000 and Gary Fisher called on the button. Gregory Nichols was in the big blind and shoved for around 1,600,000, which eventually got Fisher to fold. Jazayeri snap-called.

Gregory Nichols: AJ All in
Sean Jazayeri: QQ

Nichols did have outs but never found any of them as the runout of 6K457 kept the pocket queens of Jayazeri in the lead throughout the hand's entirety.

Philip Muller Eliminated in 11th Place ($28,474)

Yucel Eminoglu raised under the gun to 625,000 and Philip Muller called from the small blind.

On the 2Q10 flop, Muller open-shoved for around 6,500,000, and Eminoglu called.

Philip Muller: KJ All in
Yucel Eminoglu: KK

"I need an ace or a nine," said Muller.

No ace or nine came as neither the 4 turn nor 3 river could save Muller from elimination.

"I'm more dangerous when I'm tilted," commented Eminoglu as he was raking in the pot.

Michael Minetti
Michael Minetti

Manelic Minaya raised to 400,000 from the hijack and Michael Minetti three-bet jammed for 1,950,000 from the big blind when the action was folded to him. Minaya considered it for a bit and then called with the bigger stack.

Michael Minetti: 44 All in
Manelic Minaya: A9

The flop came Q9Q for Minaya to hit two pair and for Buck Bucceri to pump his fist in the air.

The turn was the J to not change things and while some players were already celebrating, the dealer completed the board with the 4 for Minetti to hit a full house to stay alive and double up.

Minaya walked away from the table in disbelief and returned to confirm the amount before taking his seat for the next hand.

Kevin Song Seeks Second Bracelet 27 Years After His First in $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold'em

Kevin Song

The fourth and final day of Event #59: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold'em will play out today at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas with 11 players looking to get their hands on the bracelet and the $368,025 first-place prize.

Turkey's Yucel Eminoglu sits in pole position with a stack of 15,900,000, which is more than double the stack of his closest rival Buck Bucceri who has 7,725,000. Sean Jazayeri rounds out the top three stacks with 7,050,000 chips.

The only remaining bracelet winner in the field is Kevin Song, who starts the day with 4,400,000 chips — good for seventh in the counts. Song won his bracelet back in 1997 and it would be a spectacular feat to secure a second gold strap 27 years after his first.
