The player on the button raised to 1,500 and Donald Flowers three-bet to 4,000 in the small blind. Once the big blind folded, the button shoved for around 20,000, and Flowers made the call with a slightly bigger stack.

Tuffing Cracks Kings

Niveau 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

A player from early position opened to 2,800 which was called by a player in middle position and Dave Tuffing in the hijack. Then once folded to the button, he three-bet to 7,000. The player in early position called, the middle postion player folded, and Tuffing made the call as well.

The flop came 5♦8♣7♥ and after the player in early position checked, Tuffing lead out for 20,000. The player on the button then announced all in for 22,200. The player in early position got out of the way, and Tuffing called.

Tuffing was behind the pocket kings but could improve to a straight with a nine or four. Tuffing didn't have to wait long as the 9♦ hit the turn leaving the player on the button drawing dead. The J♥ on the river officially eliminated the player and gave Tuffing the pot.

Shkolnik Stacks One With Trips

There were around 15,000 chips in the pot on a board of 9♦10♠10♥6♣ when the big blind checked, and Steven Shkolnik shoved all in. The big blind, who had around 15,000 chips behind, was covered by Shkolnik and eventually made the call which put him at risk.

Action picked up on the flop with a board of 2♥10♦6♣ and George Zintak was in the big blind and bet 10,000 into about a 25,000 pot. The button moved all in for 17,000, and Zintak made the call.

Ebner Gets There on the River

Acton was picked up on the turn with Mark Ebner involved in a pot with the small blind. There was 24,000 in the pot on a board showing 6♥2♥6♦9♣.

The small blind checked-called a bet from Ebner for 8,000, to see a river.

The river was the 8♦ and once the small blind checked, Ebner announced all in for 42,700. The small blind sat in the tank for several minutes saying to the table "Sorry guys I need a couple minutes" before eventually finding a call.

Ebner tabled 8♠8♥ for rivered full house, as the small blind mucked his hand. Once another player at the table said he must show his cards, the dealer flipped over J♠J♣.

Last Year's Winner Klaus Ilk Seated Next to Kevin Danko

Last year's winner of the event, Austria's Klaus Ilk, is in the field looking to defend his title. Ilk bested a field of 3,121 to claim his maiden WSOP bracelet and the $371,603 prize money. Seated direct to his right is Kevin Danko, who also made the final table and finished fifth for a career-best score of $98,644 after being eliminated by Ilk.

A player under the gun raised to 1,200 before being three-bet by a player in middle position to 3,300. It then folded to the small blind Robert Goldstein, who four-bet to 13,500. The under the gun player made the call, while the middle position player folded.

The flop came 2♠5♠8♣ when Goldstein bet out 25,000. The player under the gun then announced all in for 30,000 total. Goldstein made the call, to put the player at risk of elimination.

It was a cooler, with Goldstein having the best of it with his pocket kings. When the board ran out J♠ on the turn and the 3♥ on the river, it secured Goldstein the pot.
