Straight No Good?

Niveau 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,500 ante
Scott Bohlman
Scott Bohlman

Scott Bohlman raised from the cutoff and Yingui Li defended the big blind.

Li drew two while Bohlman took one. Li decided to lead for 3,500 which sent Bohlman deep into the tank as he contemplated a clear bluff-catching scenario.

After some time, Bohlman tossed out a single chip to call and Li could only smile as he announced, "Straight!" and rolled over 10x9x8x7x6x. Bohlman tabled AxKx8x5x2x and his ace low was good enough to scoop the pot.

David "Bakes" Baker
David "Bakes" Baker

Arriving after the draw had already taken place, the action was checked to David "Bakes" Baker on the button, who made a bet of 4,200 into a pot of 26,500.

Ali Eslami then raised to 22,000, enough to put Baker all in and force the other players out of the pot. Baker made a quick call and Eslami tabled 8x7x6x4x2x.

Baker only flashed his cards quickly before they disappeared into the muck, and he took his leave from the tournament area.

Benjamin McCoy: Jx10x9x5x2x All in
Ross Neumann: 7x4x3x2x

Love's Doubling Up

Niveau 7 : Blinds 400/800, 1,200 ante

Arriving after the drawing had taken place in a three-way pot, the small blind led out for 6,500 in the pot of 11,500. Kevin Love then jammed all in for 16,500 in the big blind, sending Hans Bosman into the tank.

Bosman thought it over for a few minutes before finding a fold, after which the initial better quickly called.

Love tabled 8x7x6x5x3x for the worst possible eight, but it bested the nine-low of his opponent and doubled him up.

On another table, Parker Talbot was seen taking his seat in the tournament.

Kornuth Takes a Chance

Niveau 7 : Blinds 400/800, 1,200 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

After a few limps, Michael Rocco made it 5,800 to go in the small blind. The player under the gun called, as did Chance Kornuth on the button. Rocco stood pat, the under-the-gun player took one card, and Kornuth took two.

"This f*cking guy," Rocco said as he pointed to Kornuth. He then threw in a small bet of 2,500, after which the player under the gun jammed all in for 15,200.

Kornuth spent some time thinking over the situation before calling.

"Is this even real?" Rocco asked himself aloud before adding his cards to the muck.

The player under the gun showed 9x5x4x3x2x for the best nine, but Kornuth had better with 8x5x4x3x2x for a perfect eight.

"Is an eight-five a good hand?" Kornuth asked the table after the eliminated player had left.
