Following a raise to 5,000, Danny Tang called and Nick Schulman on the button then squeezed to 23,000. Two calls later, the flop brought 7♣7♠5♥ on which the action checked to Schulman. He pushed all-in for 24,000 and won the pot uncontested.

Level nine is underway and the tournament clock shows a total of 721 entries so far, which is just ten entries shy of the attendance one year ago. However, the late registration remains open and it is expected that many hopefuls will take advantage of the extended late registration for Day 2.

The field has already been cut in half as only around 360 players remain.

In a three-bet pot to the A♦K♣8♣ flop with around 50,000 in the middle, Aleksejs Ponakovs checked. Rehman Kassam jammed for just 16,000 and Ponakovs reluctantly called.

"Oh, I am not dead," Ponakovs exclaimed and then instantly added "okay dead" when Kassam further improved with the A♠ turn to make the J♦ river a formality.
