Parent Turns Up the Pressure

Niveau 9 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Action was on the river with a completed board of 332J6. The pot had about 45,000 in it. A player in middle position bet 32,000.

Benjamin Parent was on the button and jammed all in, easily covering his opponent who went into the tank. He seemed on the verge of either decision, unsure of what to do. Eventually he did fold and Parent took in the pot to add to his growing stack.

Big Three-Way All In Goes Swayze’s Way

Niveau 9 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

According to the players, Cara Swayze started the action with a limp from under the gun. Motyk Scott raised in early position and Vegard Ropstad called in the hijack. The player in the small blind also called, as did Swayze.

The flop came 234. Swayze and Scott checked and Ropstad bet 3,200. The small blind then went all in for 10,600. Swayze called the all in, Scott folded and Ropstad also called.

The turn came 5. Action was on Swayze and she went all in for about 45,000. Ropstad called.

Small blind: AXAll in
Cara Swayze: 55All in
Vegard Ropstad: 6x6x

Ropstad was ahead with his turned straight, while Swayze made top set and the small blind had the nut flush draw. All three players still had a chance at the pot and it was the 3 on the river that prompted Swayze to let out an excited: “Yesss!”, before the dealer counted out the stacks and sent a pile of chips her way. The player on the button was eliminated, while Ropstad was left with just a bit over ten big blinds. He was also eliminated soon after.

Niveau 9 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Tommy Nguyen raised in late position to 7,000 after a player in early position limped. The small blind and Andres Garcia in the big blind both called and the limper folded. The flop came out as 374 and the small blind checked, Garcia bet 8,800 and Nguyen called and the small blind pulled out the check raise and moved all in for 52,800, Garcia moved all in behind with the bigger stack and Nguyen folded.

Small blind: KQ All in
Andres Garcia: 54

The turn brought the flush everyone was looking for with the 6 and the river was the irrelevant K. The table did not realize at first that Garcia had the superior flush with the straight flush until someone announced it and even Garcia was suprised.
