Holtzman Drills the River to Eliminate Yau

Guy Holtzman raised to 6,000 from early position and action folded around to Ethan "Rampage" Yau in the small blind, who shoved for his last 14,000. The player in the big blind made it 25,000 to go and Holtzman called.

The big blind bet 6,000 on the 2♥5♦A♣ flop and Holtzman raised to 25,000. Holtzman's opponent folded and a showdown was held between Holtzman and Yau.

"You were trying to save him!" a tablemate exclaimed upon seeing the cards.

Regardless of intentions, the 5♥8♥ runout paired Holtzman's eight on the river to eliminate Yau.

The previous hand, Steven Buckner raised to 8,000 and was called by the big blind.

The flop came 6x4x10x and the big blind was quick to check. Buckner continued for 6,000 and his opponent found the call.

While the turn peeled the 8x, the big blind checked to Buckner. He fired for 14,000 and was rewarded with the pot.

"This one is for the fans at home," Buckner announced to those following his tournament journey.

Naill Farrell was seen collecting the rest of an opponent's chips, and on the very next hand, Farrell put in a raise of approximately 70,000 into the middle from the cutoff (with several short-stacked players behind).

The player on the button tanked for a while and committed his last 30,000 into the middle. Everyone else folded, and hands were revealed.
