One storyline of interest is that of Phil Hellmuth, the 17-time bracelet winner, maintained a solid stack throughout the day yesterday including a hand in which he made a straight flush. The Poker Hall of Famer enters the day 17th out of 157 with 161,000 and looks to make another deep run in an event in which he does not yet have a bracelet.

With many old school legends winning bracelets this year, including John Hennigan, Phil Ivey, Nick Schulman, Scott Seiver, and most recently Daniel Negreanu, perhaps it is Hellmuth's turn to make a deep run as he works towards number 18.

The players return today at 1 p.m. local time in the Horseshoe Event Center. The action returns in Level 16 with limits at 5,000/10,000. The remaining contenders will play ten 60-minute levels today.

Be sure to stay with the Pokernews team as we provide updates throughout the day and for all events at the 2024 World Series of Poker.
