Baxter and Carey Eliminated
Niveau 20
: Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Under the gun, Jennifer Baxter went all in for 137,000. Irene Carey, sitting right next to her, asked for a count and then decided to go all in herself. In the hijack, Elizabeth Rodriguez also asked the dealer for a count and went all in. It went to showdown:
Jennifer Baxter: A♣J♠
Elizabeth Rodriguez: Q♦Q♠
Irene Carey: 9♥9♦
Baxter and Carey were hoping to hit on the board, but luck wasn't on their side as it came 10♥10♠4♦5♥2♠. Baxter was eliminated, and Carey was left with just 52,000.
Two hands later, Carey found herself in the small blind and called an all-in from Jessica Davis with her remaining 20,000.
Irene Carey: A♦7♥
Jessica Davis: A♥8♥
Davis hit two pair on the flop, sending start-of-day chip leader Carey to the rail.
