Tang Survives; Kempton Takes Two
Niveau 18
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Danny Tang repotted to get called by Jonathan Azoulay, who then checked and reluctantly called the shove by Tang for 150,000 on the K♣8♥5♦ flop.
Danny Tang: A♦A♥3♥2♠
Jonathan Azoulay: J♦J♠10♠7♠
Azoulay hit running cards to a straight with the 9♥ turn and 6♥ river, but the same runout also gave Tang the nut flush for the double.
In the meanwhile, Raphael Schreiner and Dirk Gerritse lost their short stacks in the same hand against Isaac Kempton. Their cards were already in the muck when Kempton raked in the pot, having rivered a set of deuces with Q♣Q♥2♣2♥ on a 10♠8♦7♣9♣2♠ runout.
According to Schreiner on the rail, he went down with KxKx5x4x while Gerritse had AxXx8x3x.
