Matusow Flops a Set, Doesn't Get Paid
Niveau 9
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
James Sgro opened to 5,000 from middle position and then called after Mike Matusow three-bet to 12,000 out of the small blind.
Matusow continued for 15,000 following the Q♥9♦J♠ flop. Sgro thought for a while before deciding to lay down his hand and was rewarded with some good news from Matusow as he flipped over Q♠Q♣ for the flopped set, telling Sgro that he had opted for a large sizing as he thought his opponent held jacks for a lower set.
