Ronquillo Gets a Big Double
Niveau 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
With the board showing 9♣5♦2♥6♥3♣, Jonathan Ronquillo was all-in for 75,000 with a pot of around 135,000 evolved by then.
His opponent Kunal Punjwani was deep in the tank and the clock was called on him. Once the thirty second countdown started, Punjwani made the call and was shown the bad news. Ronquillo on the button had 8♦7♥ for the nuts and Punjwani briefly exposed 4♣4♦ for an inferior straight.
