Latinois Takes Out Two in Back-to-Back Hands
Niveau 27
: Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
In a blind versus blind battle, Eduard Burd got his last 2,100,000 in the middle against Malo Latinois.
Eduard Burd: A♠7♣
Malo Latinois: A♦Q♠
Latinois had Burd dominated as the board ran out 5♦2♥5♠8♦J♥, keeping Latinois in the lead with his queen-kicker and sending Burd to the rail.
The next hand, Britton Barclay shoved for 1,250,000 in the cutoff and Latinois called on the button.
Britton Barclay: A♣Q♠
Malo Latinois: A♦K♥
"We need a queen," Barclay called out to his rail as the flop came 3♣5♥2♣.
"I'll take a four," he added, pleading for a chop. The 6♦ turn was no help, while the river was the 5♦ and Latinois's king-kicker was enough to earn him his second knockout in as many hands.
