Rambo Doubles with a Boat

Action picked up on the river in a hand between Brent Rambo in the big blind and the player on the button.

With 13,100 in the pot and the board reading 789109, Rambo led out for 12,000 and the button raised to 25,000. Rambo then moved all in for 36,800 total and the big blind made the call.

Rambo tabled 1010 for a full house, tens full of nines, while the big blind showed QJ for the no good nut straight.

Schiffbauer Cracks Aces For a Bustout

Robbie Schiffbauer in the small blind had a raise of 2,200 in front of him before the big blind reraised to 6,000. Schiffbauer called and they went heads-up to the JJ8 flop.

The big blind then bet 7,000 and Schiffbauer came back with a raise to 25,000. His opponent took a minute before moving all in for around 38,000, and Schiffbauer snap-called.

Schiffbauer had flopped trips to leave his opponent's aces needing help to remain alive in the Main Event. The 10 turn improved Schiffbauer to a full house, while the river came the 5.

The unfortunate player stopped to snap a photo of the board before making his exit early on Day 1a.

Ribeiro Doubles

Fernando Ribeiro moved all in on the river for 11,700 against two opponents with a flop that read 44923. Ribeiro had his phone out recording the hand while two players still had action to decide on and Jeremy Maher thought for several moments before he laid it down to the shove.

Troy Gabaldon called after about 30 seconds of thought. Ribeiro tabled the A2 for a flush which won the pot when Gabaldon had only the Q4 for trips.

Haberman's Turn Shove Gets it Done

Mike Haberman opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 800. The hijack three-bet to 3,000 and the big blind cold called. Haberman wanted to play for more as he put in a four-bet to 13,000. Only the big blind called.

Haberman continued for 11,000 on 886 and his opponent called.

The big blind led for 13,000 on the 6 turn before Haberman moved all in for 41,500. His opponent went into the tank, but eventually released his hand back to the dealer.

Chufarin and Shimada Chop One up

Denys Chufarin opened to 800 from under the gun and was called by Junpei Shimada in the small blind and the player in the big blind.

Action checked to Chufarin on the J78 flop and he bet 800. Only Shimada called.

Shimada check-called a 3,000 bet from Chufarin on the 5 turn and then both players checked on the 6 river.

Shimada turned over AJ, which got a groan from Chufarin, who turned over AJ for the same hand to split the pot.

Feiger Finds the Perfect Turn

The hijack raised, Joshua Feiger three-bet to 2,100 from the cutoff and the hijack responded with a four-bet to 7,500. Feiger called.

The 794 flop saw a continuation bet of 6,500 from the hijack. Feiger elected to see a turn.

The Q turn checked through to the 5 on the river. The hijack check-called a bet of 20,000 from Feiger.

Feiger tabled QQ for a turned set of queens, while the hijack mucked AA face up.

Altman Raises the River on Kanakopoulos

Brian Altman raised to 1,000 in middle position before Orestis Kanakopoulos three-bet to 2,500 on the button. Altman called and they went heads-up to the 95Q flop.

Kanakopoulos then bet 4,000 and Altman called. Both players checked the 10 turn.

The river was the 2 and Kanakopoulos bet another 7,500. Altman came back with a raise to 30,000 and Kanakopoulos instantly folded.

Kuechenhofen Picks Off Bluff

Phillip Kuechenhofen raised to 700 in the cutoff and Andy Tsai defended in the big blind.

The Flop came 8Q4 and Tsai check-called a bet of 600 from Kuechenhofen.

The 9 turn went check-check, bringing the 7 river. Tsai led out with a bet of 1,200 and after a brief moment of thought, Kuechenhofen flicked in the call.

Tsai turned over AJ for ace-high, and Kuechenhofen tabled A8 for a pair of eights.

Fernando Romano was first to act and he took his time before offering a check. Bin Weng checked it back and tabled the Q9 for a rivered pair of nines which was the winner as Romano mucked and shook his head while looking up into the air.
