"My third and final tip for the WSOP Main Event is don't do what everyone else is doing. The majority of people who play poker are losing players. So don't worry about what everyone else is doing and what they're saying. Because if you're doing what the masses are doing, you're probably not winning.

Jaka says that a common mistake players make during the Main Event is trying to see too many flops.

"People will want to see cheap flops, so there will be a raise and a bunch of calls. You don't want to join their party. You want to fold and play tighter when it's going multiway.

"Or you want a three-bet squeeze and thin the field and get it heads up."

Melvyn Carter moved all in for 8,000 in early position and Louis Bailey called in the hijack.

"Aces for the third time today, huh," a tablemate said to Bailey who was far in front and poised for a knockout.

The board ran out 2♥7♦6♥2♦6♠ and Bailey secured the pot to send Carter to the rail.

WSOP bracelet winners Chad Eveslage and Frank Funaro are also at this table.

Affleck's Cowboys Send Mylonas Packing

Matt Affleck raised to 2,500 from middle position and Dimitrios Mylonas three-bet to 5,000 from the hijack. Action folded back around to Affleck, who four-bet to 14,000.

Mylonas put his remaining 31,000 into the middle and Affleck called to put Mylonas at risk.

Affleck was well ahead with his kings, and the Q♦6♥9♠6♠A♦ runout changed nothing to send the pot Affleck's way and eliminate Mylonas.

Everts Takes it Away on River

Barry Clark opened the action with a raise to 1,200 from early position. Michael Everts called in the cutoff and the big blind defended.

Clark continued for 1,200 on J♦9♥3♠ and only Everts called.

The turn J♥ rolled off and Clark fired 3,000. Everts called once more.

Clark checked the K♠ river over to Everts who bet 6,300. Clark mucked and the pot was pushed towards Everts.

Talbot Befuddles Martini

The board read K♠4♠7♥9♣7♦ on the river with a pot of about 6,500 in it.

From the big blind Parker Talbot made an overbet of 8,800 which made Julien Martini think it out. he gave a wry smile and tried to talk to Talbot to get any info but to no avail as he eventually folded and was left with a shorter stack.

Morgan Bests Choffardet at Showdown

Timothy Morgan raised from early position, receiving a call from both the blinds.

The action checked to Morgan, who bet out 1,200 on the A♣6♦Q♠. Mathieu Choffardet, in the small blind, check-raised to 3,600. The big blind folded and Morgan called.

The A♥ turn and 10♠ river checked to a showdown. Choffardet tabled 8♠6♠ for bottom pair, while Morgan claimed this pot with 8♣8♥.

Dempsey Chipping Up

Action was caught on the flop of 8♦A♦3♦, in a hand between Andres Campero in the small blind and James Dempsey in middle position.

With a little over 11,000 in the pot, both players checked bringing the J♣ turn. Campero check-called a bet of 6,500, and the river brought the 10♣.

Campero checked again and Dempsey put out a bet of 10,000. Campero thought for a moment before folding.

Affleck Goes Runner-Runner on Chamas

A player in middle position bet 1,800 on a flop of 4♥5♣Q♣ and Rayan Chamas called in the cutoff. Matt Affleck then raised to 6,500 in the big blind and only Chamas called.

The turn was the 6♠ and Affleck bet 10,000. Chamas again called to see the 6♥ river.

Affleck paused for several minutes until he checked. Chamas quickly checked behind and Affleck showed 7♦6♣ for running trips to win the pot.

De Mario Takes from Galfond

Massimo De Mario opened to 1,300 from early position and Phil Galfond defended from the big blind.

The flop came J♥6♠2♦ and Galfond check-called a 1,000 continuation bet from De Mario.

De Mario bet again for 3,200 when checked to on the Q♠ turn and this time it was enough to force a fold from Galfond.
