More than 20,000 was already in the middle as William Anderson and Mirfarhang Fazeli went heads-up to the river on a board of A♠5♣6♦8♠3♥.
Fazeli, in the small blind, then bet 15,000 as Anderson went into the tank from early position. Anderson thought about the decision for several minutes until he called.
"Two pair," Fazeli said, showing A♥6♠. Anderson, though, had A♣A♦ for top set as he took down the big pot.

The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event was officially underway at a few minutes after noon PT on Wednesday. And for two players, the dream to become world champion ended a few minutes later.
Over 1,300 players were registered at the start of Day 1a, a group that included some big name players such as Michael Mizrachi and Freddy Deeb. Defending champion Daniel Weinman got the party started by announcing "shuffle up and deal" following an introduction from Jack Effel. And then the fireworks began one day before the Fourth of July.
The pot stood at 9,500 with three players looking at a full board of 6♣10♦5♦K♣K♥.
The player under the gun checked the action to Qui Nguyen, in early position. Nguyen bet out 3,400, the button called and the under-the-gun player made a quick call.
Nguyen tabled J♠J♥, which was good enough to lay claim to this pot.

Dos Santos continued for 2,000 on Q♥K♣5♣ and the big blind and Fisher called.
Dos Santos sized-up to 5,000 on the 10♦ turn. Only Fisher made the call.
The 4♣ river rolled off and Dos Santos fired 10,000 before Fisher raised to 25,000. His opponent called and Fisher showed 10♣6♣ for the flush and the winner. Dos Santos showed K♥K♦ before mucking.

Three ways on a flop of 7♦10♥4♣, Fernando Gonzalez checked from middle position and the player in the hijack bet 3,200. The cutoff called and Gonzalez then check-raised to 15,700.
Both his opponents folded in turn and Gonzalez said, "Should I show the bluff?" as he turned over 10♦10♠ for top set as he collected the pot.
