Martinelli Catches Running Deuces to Knock Out Lindgren

Niveau 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Erick Lindgren
Erick Lindgren

As the players at the table recounted, Dan Shak opened from the cutoff and received calls from Erick Lindgren in the cutoff and Luke Martinelli in the big blind.

The flop came 944x. Martinelli checked, Shak checked, Lindgren bet 1,000, Martinelli raised to 2,800, Shak folded and Lindgren called.

The 2x turn did not complete the possible flush draw. Martinelli bet 3,000 and Lindgren called, leaving about 12,000 behind.

The double board-pairing 2x river also did not complete the possible flush draw. Martinelli shoved, covering Lindgren who called to put himself at risk.

Lindgren had AQ for an ace kicker to the two pair on the board. Martinelli had flopped a flush draw with 52 and made running trips to send Lindgren to the rail and take down a sizable pot.
