2024 World Series of Poker
Hossein Ensan opened the action from the hijack with a raise to 1,200. He was called by the button and big blind.
Ensan continued for 1,200 on 2♠10♦8♣ and only the big blind called.
Both players checked the J♥ turn before Ensan fired 3,300 on the 10♣ river. His opponent thought it over but ended up folding. Ensan scooped the pot and chipped up to over 200,000.
Jeremy Platt raised from early position to 1,200. Gabriel Nastasa three-bet from the hijack to 4,200. After the blinds folded, Platt put in a four-bet to 9,000. Nastasa five-bet ripped it all-in for Platt's remaining 13,000 and Platt snap-called.
Jeremy Platt: A♣A♥
Gabriel Nastasa: K♣K♦
The runout of 7♣10♣2♣A♦4♦ was no help for Nastasa's kings, and he had to send around a third of chips over to Platt.
Miguel Riera was under the gun and heads-up on a flop of 6♦10♣8♦ against an opponent on the button. The button then moved all in for around 8,000 and Riera put him at risk.
All-In Player: K♦K♥
Miguel Riera: 10♠10♥
The at-risk player showed down kings, but Riera had hit top set and held up through the J♥ turn and 5♠ river to earn the knockout.
Nick Marchington is also at this table.
Action was picked up on the river in a pot between Anthony Zinno in early position and another player on the button.
With 12,500 in the center, Zinno bet 13,200 on a board reading 4♦8♣10♣K♦J♠ and his opponent went into the tank.
After some thought he tossed in the chips to call then mucked when Zinno tabled A♦Q♦, good for Broadway as he raked in the pot.
A player in the big blind three-bet to 4,000 and Caio Hey called on the button.
The big blind bet another 5,000 on a flop of 3♥A♣7♥ and Hey called. The turn was the 6♥ and action checked to Hey. He bet 6,000 and his opponent called.
The river came the 2♥ and Hey moved all in for around 37,000. His opponent asked for a count but didn't take long before mucking as Hey took the pot.
Action was picked up on a Q♣K♠4♣ flop with 9,000 in the middle.
A player in middle position fired a bet before Erik Seidel moved all in for 49,000. His opponent made the call and Seidel was in great shape to double.
Erik Seidel: K♣Q♠
Middle Position: A♠A♣
The turn J♥ rolled off before the river K♦ smacked the felt, awarding Seidel the pot and newfound chips.
Action folded to a player in the hijack who rasied to 1,200. Once it folded to Joshua Adcock on the button, he put in a three-bet to 3,200. After the blinds folded, the player in the hijack made the call.
The flop came K♣6♣4♥ and after the hijack checked, Adcock bet 3,000 and was called by his opponent.
The hijack then check-called a bet of 7,000 after the 7♥ turn and a bet of 20,000 after the 2♦ river.
Adcock turned over A♦A♣ for pocket aces, and the player in the hijack mucked her hand.
Greg Raymer found himself at risk from under the gun for 33,300 against Gabriel Penescu in middle position with the biggest stack of all and Adam Curchak on the button, who moved all-in for his last 8,600.
Adam Curchak: 9♣9♠
Greg Raymer: J♣J♠
Gabriel Penescu: A♠A♦
Penescu was on his way to score a double elimination after the flop of 8♥8♦3♥, but Curchak was lucky enough to hit the 9♦ on the turn to get a full house. The 8♠ on the river gave a boat to all three players, but it wasn't enough to save Raymer who was eliminated.
The 2004 WSOP Main Event champion kindly put his signature on his fossil and offered it to Penescu before taking a last picture with him and leaving the tournament area.
Early position opened the action with a raise to 1,300. Middle position called and Jimmy D'Ambrosio completed from the big blind.
D'Ambrosio led out for 2,500 on 9♠4♠6♥ and only middle position made the call.
The turn 7♦ rolled off and D'Ambrosio fired 7,000. His opponent called once more.
D'Ambrosiao checked the 4♦ river over to middle position who bet 17,000. D'Ambrosio went into the tank but eventually flicked in a chip for a call. His opponent showed Q♠J♠ for a missed flush and D'Ambrosio tabled 8♦6♦ for the winner.
