The pot stood at approximately 18,400 with two players looking at a flop of 6♥J♠8♥.
The big blind bet out 9,000 and Christian Roberts, on the button made the call.
The 4♥ turn slowed down the big blind. Roberts thought for some time before taking the lead, betting out for a small wager of 6,000. The big blind eventually chose to fold.
With 9,000 chips in the pot and a full board of 8♥4♦Q♥Q♣10♠, Daryl Aguirre checked and Arpit Bhardwaj bet 5,000. The button laid it down and Aguirre thought for a moment before opting to fold.
With two players seeing a board of A♥J♥9♠J♠4♦ and about 9,000 in the middle, Ryan Depaulo checked from the big blind and Brian Perzinski bet 5,100 from the cutoff. Depaulo went into the tank for a bit over a minute before making the laydown, at which point Perzinski revealed that he had 10♠8♦ for a missed straight draw turned into a bluff.
Depaulo told his opponent that he was very close to calling and complimented him on the hand as Perzinski took the pot.
Alexandro Tricarico raised to 1,000 in early position, and received a call from the player to his immediate left and a player in the small blind.
The dealer fanned 10♠9♣6♦, resulting in checks from the player in the small blind and Tricarico. The player to Tricarico’s immediate left bet 2,200, which saw the player in the small blind fold. Tricarico check-called to bring the turn.
The dealer placed 9♥ on the board, and Tricarico led out with a 2,600 bet, which was immediately called.
The K♥ showed up on the river and Tricarico sized up to a 12,000 bet, which appeared to confuse Tricarico’s opponent.
The player cleared his throat before leaning forward to study the board. Tricarico’s opponent then leaned back and crossed his arms while shaking his head before asking a question.
“Why so much?” the opponent asked.
If he was looking for an answer, none was coming because Tricarico was silent and motionless.
After moments went by, Tricarico’s opponent eventually folded but not before another comment while the pot was pushed to Tricarico.
No hyperbole, that's a genuine question. On Sunday, Scott Seiver won his third bracelet of the summer making him a lock to win the 2024 WSOP Player of the Year award. Or, so you'd think. But the latter part of that sentence couldn't be further from the truth.
There was a limp from early position before Mikita Badziakouski raised to 1,800 from the button. Only the limper called and they headed to the flop.
The early position player checked the 3♠2♠3♣ flop and faced a bet of 1,000 from Badziakouski. The early position player folded and Badziakouski pulled in the pot.
