2024 World Series of Poker
Dean Sanderson opened 1,200 in the cutoff and James Mackey three-bet 5,100 from the big blind. Sanderson made the call.
When the J♥10♣10♥ flop hit the felt, Mackey continued for 3,500 and Sanderson called.
The 9♦ fell on the turn and Mackey slowed down with a check. Sanderson fired 7,000, and Mackey tank-folded.
After a rough start into the day, Kasey Mills has climbed back above the starting stack. She recently earned a pot when defending her big blind as she bet the J♥6♦3♥8♣ turn for 1,800 and her opponent folded. After losing nearly half of what she started with, Mills is now back in the green in the penultimate level of the evening.
Action went three-ways to a flop of K♥8♦7♥ in a hand between Mason Hinkle in the small blind, the under-the-gun player, and Paul Clements on the button.
Hinkle checked, under the gun checked, and Clements bet 2,300, with only Hinkle continuing to the 3♣ turn.
Hinkle check-called a bet of 2,000, bringing the A♦ river which went check-check. Clements tabled Q♣8♣ for a pair of eights and Hinkle mucked his hand.
On a board that read K♣10♠6♥K♠, there were around 5,000 chips in the pot when Cherish Andrews checked, Jack Roser bet 3,500, and Andrews called.
A 4♠ completed the runout and after Andrews checked, Roser put 6,000 chips into the pot. Andrews thought about it for a while before she eventually made the call.
Roser quickly flipped over K♥7♥ for trips, and Andrews mucked.
Igor Picone raised to 1,200 under the gun and Paul Roy called in middle position. The player in the small blind then made it 4,000 to go, seeing both of his opponents put in a call.
The small blind continued for 3,500 on the 9♣2♣K♦ flop, which was enough to get rid of Picone. Roy, however, stuck around and called to see the 5♥ turn.
The small blind sized down and put in 3,000 chips, receiving a snap call from Roy. The 7♣ river saw the small blind slow down and check.
Roy made a bet of 6,000 and was quickly called by his opponent. Roy tabled A♣6♣ for the nuts and the small blind grimaced as he tossed his cards in the muck.
Wai Kiat Lee made it 1,100 from middle position and got a call from the big blind.
The action was checked to the river on the 8♥2♥9♥A♦8♣ board where the big blind checked, and Lee fired 4,000. It took just a few seconds for the big blind to fold, and Lee raked in the small pot.
