Steven Flops a Set

Niveau 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action was picked up on the turn with the board showing A32J and a player in middle position checked to Brandon Steven, who bet out 37,500. The middle position player made the call to go to a river.

The river was the 6 and after the middle position player checked to Steven, he said, "Do you have a set of threes?" and then checked as well.

His opponent tabled AxKx for top pair-top kicker, but Steven had the best of it with 2x2x for a flopped set, to take the sizable pot.

Before the dealer spread a flop of QJ10, D'Ambrosio checked smoke. Mixson fired 14,500, forcing the button out and D'Ambrosio stuck around with a call.

The 3 fell on the turn and D'Ambrosio check-called another bet, this time for 22,000.

When the 9 completed the board on the river, both players checked.

D'Ambrosio tabled QJ for two pair to drag the pot as Mixson showed AQ.
