Marder Dodges Bullets; Busts Next Hand

Michael Marder opened 3,000 under the gun and Benjamin Pollak put in a three-bet to 7,000 from a couple of spots to his left. The action folded back around to Marder and he thought about it for a few moments before saving his remaining 13,000. Pollak let him know it was a good fold by flashing A♠A♦.

The following hand, Pollak opened 3,500 and Veerab Zakarian called in the cutoff before Marder defended the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of 6♠5♥4♦ and Marder jammed his last 8,000. Pollak quickly got out of the way and Zakarian snap-called.

Marder flopped an open-ended straight draw but Zakarian had already flopped the nut straight. The K♥ turn and 2♥ river improved him to a flush as Marder left the table.

It was checked to Chan and he shoved for approximately 23,000 total. His opponent called after a bit of deliberation and a showdown was held.

Trofimov Raises Big on the River

[Removed:510] and Shundan Xiao built a pot of around 30,000 as they went heads-up to the 9♦6♠5♥ flop. Xiao then led out for 5,000 from the small blind, Trofimov raised to 17,000 on the button, and Xiao called.

Both players checked the 10♦ turn and the J♦ fell on the river. Xiao then bet 25,000.

Trofimov spent more than a minute pondering the decision before he raised to 90,000. Xiao instantly mucked her cards and Trofimov took the pot.

Akkari check-called a bet of 4,000 from his opponent on the 10♠8♣3♠ flop.

The turn came the 3♣. Akkari checked and his opponent bet 6,500. Akkari check-raised to 17,000 and after a few moments, his opponent called.

The A♦ on the river got checked through and Akkari took down the pot with 4♥3♥ for trip threes.

Yannick Capocetti opened 3,000 in the cutoff and both the small blind and Michael Debs in the big blind made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of J♠J♦8♠ and the small blind check-folded to a bet of 3,000 from Capocetti, but Debs check-called.

The 10♦ fell on the turn, and Debs checked to Capocetti who continued with aggression as he tossed two red chips across the line for a bet of 10,000. Debs stuck around once again.

The dealer dropped the 4♥ on the river, and both players tapped the table. Debs rolled 10♣9♣ for an open-ended straight draw that turned a ten, and Capocetti mucked his hand.

Guo Puts Soyza to the Test

Action was picked up on the flop with roughly 41,000 in the pot with the board showing 2♣9♦8♠.

Michael Soyza is the big blind bet out 16,000, and Yuebin Guo in early position raised to 66,000. After spending over a minute thinking about his decision, Soyza made the call.

After the K♥ on the turn Soyza checked to Guo who bet all in for 65,500. This sent Soyza in the tank for nearly three minutes, before he mucked his cards and gave the pot to Guo.
