David Collins opened to 3,500 from middle position and was called by Michael Whitton on the button and the player int he big blind for a three-way pot.

Action checked through on the J97 flop and then the player in the big blind led out for 4,500 after the 2 fell on the turn. Only Whitton called.

The 8 completed the board and the big blind bet 10,000. Whitton thought a bit before calling his opponent turned over K6 for a busted flush draw.

Whitton held Q8 for a pair of eights and took down the pot.

Ordet’s Kings send Jacks to the Rail

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Action folded to Kevin Ordet, who raised to 3,500 on the button, and then things escalated quickly after the small blind folded.

The player in the big blind three-bet to 11,500, returning action to Ordet.

Ordet paused a moment before reaching into his stack for chips, and then four-bet to 27,000.

The player in the big blind responded with a five-bet by moving all in, and Ordet immediately called to put his opponent at risk.

“You have aces?” the player in the big blind asked.

He would discover Ordet had the next best thing when the hands were tabled.

Ordet had the lead in the hand and it remained that way after the dealer fanned 772 on the flop. The 10 on the turn and Q on the river gave Ordet the win and knockout blow.

Wang Shows a Set to Bust One

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Heads-up on a board of QJ78, a player in the small blind bet 12,000 before Michael Wang moved all in for 32,000.

The small blind was barely covered by Wang and tanked for a minute before he called, showing AK for a straight draw. Wang had 88 for a set of eights and held up on the 6 river to send his opponent to the rail.

Spurlin Cracks Kings

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Action folded to a player in middle position, and he raised to 3,000. Jordan Spurlin called from the hijack, as did Stanley Tang on the button.

The flop came 3AQ and all three players checked to the turn.

After the 8 on the turn, the middle position player bet out 4,000. Spurlin called, and Tang folded.

The river was the 4 and the middle position player checked to Spurlin, who bet 26,500 to put his opponent all in. After taking a minute to think over his decision, he did make the call.

Spurlin tabled A10 for a pair of aces, and the all-in player tossed KK into the muck as they left the tournament area.

Boussetta Doubles Up

A player raised to 3,500 in late position which saw one player call in the cutoff and in the big blind, Hedi Boussetta moved all in for 15,000. The late position player shoved for more and the other player folded.

The board ran out 73497 and the jacks held up for Boussetta to double up.

Dwan Pays Off Becker's Big River Bet

Tom Dwan raised to 3,000 in early position before Johannes Becker three-bet to 12,000 on the button. Dwan called and they went heads-up to the K103 flop.

Becker bet another 11,000 and Dwan called. Both players then checked the A turn.

The river was the K and Becker fired out 34,000. Dwan immediately turned around the table and leaned back in his chair as he shuffled his chips for several minutes. He eventually tossed them in to call and Becker showed him KQ for trips to win the pot.

Amingad Takes a Chunk From Glaser

Santhosh Amingad opened the cutoff to 3,000 and Benny Glaser three-bet from the small blind to 12,000. Once the big blind folded, Amingad made the call.

They saw a flop of 2Q6 where Glaser bet 7,000, and Amingad called.

When the A landed on the turn, Glaser continued the aggression with another bet of 25,500, and again Amingad called.

On the J river, Glaser slowed down with a check, and after some thinking, Amingad checked back.

Glaser tabled KJ for a pair of jacks, but Amingad had the winner with A9 after he turned a pair of aces.
