Tamaki and Shapouri Chop a Pot Versus Weinman

A pot of more than 80,000 emerged to the K10710 turn on which a trio of players checked to see the K river for free.

Daniel Weinman checked and Bijan Shapouri did so in the cutoff. Shoichiro Tamaki then bet 40,000 on the button and Weinman folded after brief consideration. Shapouri pondered only for a few seconds and jammed, Tamaki instantly called.

Shapouri had the KJ and Tamaki chopped with his AK.

Four players saw a flop of 672. The small blind bet 5,000. Howard Feingold folded the big blind. Yaroslav Shklyar called in middle position and Ari Engel then raised to 13,500 from the hijack. Both opponents called.

The turn was the J. It checked to Engel who fired out 32,000 which got both opponents to fold slowly.

Kanda's Kings Secures Double Up

A player in middle position faced a decision after limping in for 1,200, as Kevin Kanda moved all in for his remaining 11,700.

After a few moments of table banter, the player in middle position called to put Kanda at risk.

Kevin Kanda: KK All in
Opponent: A7

“I have the over and the lucky seven,” Kanda’s opponent said.

Neither arrived, however, as the dealer ran out a board of 488Q5 to give Kanda a full double up and much-needed chips.

The two opponents gave each other a fist bump after the hand.

There were around 50,000 chips in the pot on a board of 2QKA then Mihael Jeraj checked it over to Calvin Lee, who fired a bet of 16,000. Jeraj then check-raised to 40,000, which sent Lee into the tank. After a long time thinking, Lee elected to fold.

Euan McNicholas raised in the small blind to 3,600 which saw Erik Stuart in the big blind call.

The flop rolled out 1077 and McNicholas continued for 3,500 and Stuart called.

McNicholas checked the turn 3 over to Stuart who bet 9,000, prompting McNicholas to shoot him a look before calling.

Both players checked the river A and McNicholas tabled 63 for sevens and threes which was good for the pot.

Baker Empties the Clip Against Pittell

David "ODB" Baker raised to 2,400 and Ryan Pittell three-bet to 7,200 in the next seat. What followed was a four-bet to 19,400 by Baker and Pittell called.

The J62 flop saw Baker lead for 9,500 and Pittell call for the duo to repeat the same action on the 9 turn albeit for 17,500.

Baker then emptied the clip and jammed the J river for around 53,000, Pittell then gave up.

Zoughari Makes Tough Call and Eliminates Opponent

Action was picked up on the flop with 32,500 in the pot on a board showing JJ4

A player in middle position bet all in for 27,500, and Moundir Zoughari on the button debating his decision. After about a minute in the tank, Zoughari made the call to put his opponent at risk.

Zoughari called off with his pair of fours and left the all in player needing help to stay in the tournament. But when the board ran out 2 on the turn and 10 on the river, Zoughari's pair of fours were still best, and he eliminated his opponent.

Auckland Flops the Nuts and Gets Maximum Value

Daniel Auckland opened the action with a raise to 2,500 from the cutoff. Jia Jun called on the button before Robert Belke three-bet to 10,000. Auckland and Jun made the call.

Belke moved all in for 37,100 on a 4Q7 flop and Auckland made the call. Jun reraised all in for 94,500, covering Auckland who made the call.
