Josh Reichard Mo Nuwwarah

Less than one week ago, two well-known poker pros said their car was broken into outside a Las Vegas restaurant, and a substantial amount of money was stolen.

Days later and both players — Mo Nuwwarah and Josh Reichard — are deep together in the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, perhaps the result of some good karma (and of course skill).

Andress Knocks Out Brown

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

A shorter-stacked Brandon Brown was all-in with the QJ and he was dominated by John Andress with the AJ.

Neither player connected with the 952K2 runout and the ace was enough to send Brown to the rail.

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Merijn van Rooij checked the 976A turn and Lucas Bandeira bet 110,000. The Dutchman then announced a raise to 350,000 and had some trouble to put the correct chips out at first before all was made right, Bandeira called.

Van Rooij bet the 5 river for 375,000 and Bandeira snap-called by tossing in a single chip, but could not beat the 85 of van Rooij.

Adomkevicius Climbs to Six Million

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Ryan Hoenig opened to 50,000 from middle position and then called after Aneris Adomkevicius three-bet to 185,000 in late position.

Hoenig checked following the 68A flop. Adomkevicius continued for 100,000 only to see Hoenig respond with a raise to 280,000. After some thought, Adomkevicius flatted.

Action checked through the 8 turn to the 9 river at which point Hoenig checked once more. Adomkevicius, unwilling to go to a cheap showdown, bet 375,000. That was enough to force a fold from Hoenig as Adomkevicius chipped up to hit the six million mark.
