Reard Takes More from Mateos

Niveau 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened to 525,000 in the small blind and was called by Alexandre Reard in the big blind.

Mateos continued for 250,000 on the 510A flop. Reard responded by raising to 525,000 only to see Mateos come back over the top for 1,150,000. After some thought, Reard flatted.

Action checked to Reard following the Q turn and he bet out 675,000. Mateos did not immediately fold, though he eventually released his hand to send more of his stack to his opponent.

Fahredin Mustafov Eliminated in 7th Place ($104,465)

Alexandre Reard opened from middle position to 325,000 and Fahredin Mustafov shoved from the big blind for around 2,300,000. Reard made a quick call.

Fahredin Mustafov : AQ All in
Alexandre Reard: JJ

It was a fair fight that swung heavily in Musrafov's favor after the 3A2 flop paired his ace. No help arrived for Reard on the 5 turn but it did give some chop outs as any non-heart four would give both players a straight. Instead, Reard scooped the whole pot as the J landed on the river, which gave him a set and sent Mustafov to the rail in seventh.

Ace-High Good for Mateos

Niveau 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened to 320,000 from middle position and Alexandre Reard called in the cutoff.

Mateos checked before calling a bet of 350,000 from Reard on the 579 flop.

Action checked through the 3 turn to the 4 river at which point both players checked once more. Mateos tabled AK and that was good enough to take down the pot.

Procop in Shove Mode

Niveau 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

With the latest blind increase, the big blind went up by 33%, which has made the stacks a lot shallower. Egor Procop found himself with around thirteen big blinds on the button and shoved them into the middle, but was managed to win the pot as both the blinds folded.

Reard Retakes Lead from Mateos in Massive Pot

Adrian Mateos opened to 440,000 in the small blind and Alexandre Reard called in the big blind.

Mateos continued for 600,000 on the 2K6 flop with Reard making the call.

The K turn saw Mateos continue his aggression with a bet of 1,500,000. Reard counted out calling chips, rechecked his cards, sighed as he mulled over his decision, then matched the bet.

Mateos emptied the clip once the 3 river completed the board but immediately appeared dejected as Reard snapped him off holding Q7 for the flush. Mateos could only show J7 for a bluff to double his opponent and consequentially fall back into the pack.

Lots of Three-Bets, No Flops

Niveau 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

The last few hands have all included lots of three-bets, but no flops.

First, Egor Procop made it 250,000 from the cutoff and Adrian Mateos three-bet the big blind to 750,000. Procop folded.

Then, Aleks Dimitrov opened under the gun to 240,000 and Fahredin Mustafov three-bet the cutoff to 500,000. Dimitrov folded.

Mateos then raised from the hijack to 240,000 and Alexandre Reard three-bet the cutoff to 700,000. Everybody folded.

Finally, Reard opened the cutoff to 250,000 and Aram Zobian shoved from the button for almost 2,700,000. Everybody folded.
