Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2024 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.
Today sees the start of Event #94: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed Championship here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
This three-day event gets underway at 2 p.m. local time, with late registration open for 11 levels (about 2 p.m. on Day 2). This event does not allow any reentries. There will be 15-minute breaks every two levels.
The starting stack is 60,000 chips, with the plan for Day 1 to play ten 60-minute levels. For the surviving players or late registrants, Day 2 resumes at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, where another ten levels will play out. The winner will be determined the following day.
Last year’s event attracted a field of 550 entries, generating a prize pool of $5,115,000. The winner was Alexandre Reard who defeated Stephen Chidwick heads up to win $1,057,663 and his second WSOP bracelet.

The hijack player opened things up to 600 before the button thee-bet to 2,100. Nick Yunis put in the cold-four bet from the big blind to 10,200 and only the hijack called.
Yunis continued for 8,000 on 2♣J♥9♥ and his opponent called.
The J♦ turn rolled off and Yunis moved all in for 40,200. His opponent went into a deep tank and after nearly eight minutes, he mucked his cards.

Rui Neves Ferreira raised in the cutoff and Jason Wong three-bet on the button. Ferreira called and the flop came A♦2♣8♥.
Ferreira check-called a bet of 1,200 from Wong, bringing the 4♥ turn, which went check-check.
On the J♠ river, Ferreira fired out a bet of 6,000 and Wong folded.

Joao Simao raised to 600 from under the gun and was called by the small blind and the big blind.
The dealer fanned a flop of 6♥7♥2♣, action checked to Simao who bet 800, the small blind called and the big blind folded.
The turn was the 7♦, the small blind checked, Simao bet 1,200 and the small blind called.
The river was the 8♣, the small blind once again checked. This time Simao decided to bet 5,300 and the small blind called. Simao tabled Q♣7♣ and the small blind mucked his hand.
