Benitez Spikes Turn to Double
Niveau 36
: Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Francisco Benitez opened to 2,400,000 and Livingston just called to see a flop of K♦9♣4♦.
The two players then quickly got all of their chips into the middle, with Benitez at risk.
Francisco Benitez: A♥K♣Q♠J♠
Alex Livingston: K♠9♠8♦6♣
"We need to fade big cards," Livingston told his rail, but the turn 10♦ immediately gave Benitez the nut stright for a big lead. Livingston would need to hit a king or nine to secure the bracelet, but the river was the 5♣ to earn the double for Benitez.
