Cousineau Chops to Build Stack

Niveau 2 : 150/300, 0 ante
Tony Cousineau
Tony Cousineau

Omaha Hi-Lo

Vincent Barone raised from the cutoff and Andrew Wang in the small blind as well as Tony Cousineau in the big blind called. On the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop, Wang bet and Cousineau called, then joked "all right, let's gang up on the raiser."

On the {4-Spades} turn, Wang bet again and both opponents called before the {2-Spades} river completed the board. Wang's bet was called by Cousineau only. Wang turned over {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} for the nut flush and Cousineau had {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for the wheel to chop it up and gain some chips.

The same table also features Ted Forrest, who sat down not long ago.

John Cernuto opened from the cutoff and called the button's three-bet. Cernuto check-called both the {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop and the {Q-Spades} turn, then both players checked the {5-Clubs} river.

Cernuto turned over {K-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and his kings won the hand.

Eads Takes a Hit

Niveau 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo

James Eads: {X-}{X-} / {3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} / {X-}
Ky MacPherson: {8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} / {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{A-Spades}{3-Hearts} / {5-Clubs}

James Eads already cashed with his partner in the Tag Team Event yesterday, but he just took a hit here in a seven-card stud hi-lo hand.

Three bets went in after sixth street and Eads also called the bet of Ky MacPherson on seventh street. After being shown a wheel by MacPherson, Eads said "oh, you only had a low and caught the ace on seventh?" before sending his cards into the muck.

Eads dropped to just over half the starting stack while MacPherson is up nicely early on.

Jeffrey Weiner completed with a queen showing and Christopher Vitch called as did Thao Thiem. Vitch paired his ten on fourth street and Thiem joked "how do you catch this card?" Vitch bet and both opponents folded to get shown rolled up {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} for two pair.

Martin Mixing it Up

Seven-Card Stud

Bring-In: {X-}{X-} / {3-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{A-Hearts}
Jesse Martin: {X-}{X-} / {5-Spades}{A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} / {X-}
Martin's Foe: {X-}{X-} / {4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} / {X-}

Jesse Martin completed and the player to his left who exchanged some words with Martin earlier called as did the bring-in.

On both fourth and fifth streets Martin bet and both of his opponents called. Then on sixth street Martin's foe paired up and bet with only Martin calling.

Martin called again once more on seventh street and his opponent showed {J-}{J-}{K-} for jacks up which was good.

Martin Giving a Helping Hand

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

Jesse Martin is coming off his second WSOP bracelet win in Event #7: $2,500 Limit Mixed Triple Draw Lowball for $130,948. Just now Martin was seen helping out the dealer.

The player to his left didn't seem too pleased and was quite vocal in calling Martin out for the way he was speaking to the dealer. Martin noted that the dealer even thanked him for his help.

However the player wouldn't stop and said that Martin's first words were "Come on, dealer" to which Martin responded that after six times he felt it was necessary to say so. The player to Martin's right agreed with him and thought that the player to Martin's left was out of line.

"No More Razz Please"

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

Razz

In the first hand of razz on their table, defending champion Ian Johns had the bring in with the {J-Hearts} and Norman Chad completed with the {7-Hearts}. It folded back around to Johns and he mucked {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} face up. "Okay, no more razz please," Johns joked and the pot was shipped to Chad.

Johns, a three-time bracelet winner, is most definitely one to watch and will aim to defend the title in this tournament and make it four career WSOP bracelets.
