Hands #38-42: Going Back and Forth

Niveau 75 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Hand #38: Adrian Mateos raised to 100,000 and John Smith three-bet to 200,000 in order to force a fold.

Hand #39: Smith raised to 175,000 and Mateos called. The flop came {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Mateos checked. Smith bet 200,000 and that shut down all further action.

Hand #40: Mateos raised to 100,000 and Smith defended the big blind. The flop showed {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Smith check-called a bet worth 75,000. After the {8-Hearts} turn, Smith bet 150,000 and Mateos folded.

Hand #41: Smith (with {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}) made it 125,000 to go and Mateos (with {K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}) called. The {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop saw Mateos check, Smith bet 175,000 and Mateos call. Both then checked the {A-Diamonds} turn and the {Q-Hearts} river. Mateos flipped over his {K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and that was good enough to win the pot.

Hand #42: Mateos (with {Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}) raised to 100,000 and Smith (with {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}) called. On the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, Smith bet 150,000 and Mateos called. The {K-Clubs} river was checked and Smith then bet the {5-Clubs} river for 301,000. Mateos eventually called and Smith showed his {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for trips fives to win the pot.
