What's Going On?

Niveau 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

As players near the final two levels of play for Day 1b, the knockouts are happening pretty consistently. Several notable players have been knocked out this level. Adam Owen has extended his lead and Kyle Montgomery has gone from 50,000 to 225,000. Here's what went down.

  • Adam Owen won another three-way all in against two players who both held pocket kings. Owen won the hand with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Spades} and made aces up to earn another double KO.
  • Michelle Chin elminated former WSOP bracelet winner Lawrence Berg.
  • Kyle Montgomery, who was all in and barely had his opponent covered then pulled a miracle king on the river, has now passed 200,000 chips after knocking out Andy Philachack.
  • Kevin Napadow earned a double knockout with {a-}{a-}{4-}{5-}. He was up against {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} and {k-}{k-}{3-}{3-}. The board ran out {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the player holding kings and threes cheered at making a full house. Napadow showed him the four-three that accompanied his aces and he got back up and headed to the rail.
