Jesse Martin - Eliminated

Paul Volpe raised to 12,500 from the small blind, Jesse Martin reraised all in from the big blind for 126,200, and Volpe called.

Volpe stood pat, Martin drew one, and Volpe fanned {9-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-}.

Martin was drawing dead with {9-}{8-}{4-}{3-}, rendering the {5-} he drew moot.

One for Chen and Hildebrand

Niveau 13 : 2,000/4,000, 1,000 ante

Hertzel Zalewski had been thriving earlier today, but has since dropped back to the bottom half of the stacks.

On his table, James Chen and Per Hildebrand got into a battle of the blinds and Chen bet 23,000 after the drawing phase. Hildebrand called and mucked when Chen rolled over {9-}{8-}{7-}{4-}{2-}.

The next hand, Chen opened to 11,000 on the button and Hildebrand in the small blind called, as did Zalewski in the big blind. Zalewski drew two cards while both other players drew one. Hildebrand bet 20,000 and Zalewski said, "I am out," before mucking his cards. Chen stared at Hildebrand for half a minute and came to the same conclusion.

John Monnette raised to 10,500 and Jon Turner called on the button, as did Per Hildebrand in the big blind. Hildebrand drew two cards and both his two opponents took one card. Hildebrand and Monnette checked and Turner bet 17,000.

Hildebrand called rather quickly as did Monnette and Turner showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{4-} for a straight. Hildebrand had that beat with {9-}{8-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and Monnette mucked.

Leah Over Sammartino

Niveau 13 : 2,000/4,000, 1,000 ante

Robert Mizrachi raised to 10,500 from the button, Mike Leah called from the small blind, Dario Sammartino three-bet to 45,000 from the big blind, Mizrachi folded, and Leah called.

Leah drew one, Sammartino stood pat, and Leah bet 100,000.

Sammartino went into the tank and after about one minute, leaned to his right and intently stared down Leah, who responded by putting on his sunglasses.

After about another 90 seconds Sammartino leaned back in his chair, looked at his hand one final time, and sent his cards into the muck.

Darren Elias Dealt a Pat 8

Niveau 13 : 2,000/4,000, 1,000 ante
Darren Elias
Darren Elias

Mike Leah opened on the button to 11,000 and Darren Elias three-bet from the big blind to 57,000.

Leah asked Elias for a look at his remaining stack and Elias made it easily countable. Elias was sitting with 122,000 more. Leah went all in having Elias well covered and Elias called.

Elias stood pat quickly and Leah rolled over {7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and tossed one card. Elias showed {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and Leah needed a six or a four to win the hand.

Leah asked if Elias would mind a peel and Elias said he could do whatever he wanted. Leah peeled the side of the card.

"It's a club, three across," said Leah.

"Fifty fifty," said a couple players from the table.

Meaning the Leah had either the {6-Clubs}, which would win the hand and eliminate Elias, or the {8-Clubs} which would give Elias the double up. Leah turned the card all the way over to reveal the {8-Clubs}, making his hand {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and giving Elias the double.
