Jason-On-Jason Violence, Wheeler Felted

Niveau 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Jason Wheeler Eliminated
Jason Wheeler Eliminated

Jason Wheeler got the last of his short stack in the middle against Jason Stockfish on a flop of {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Wheeler showed {A-Hearts}{A-}{9-}{5-Hearts} for aces and the nut flush draw, but Stockfish flipped over {Q-}{J-}{10-}{8-} for trip jacks, so Wheeler needed to improve to preserve his tournament life.

The {9-Spades} on the turn was no help to Wheeler and neither was the {4-Clubs} river, so Stockfish took the pot to end Wheeler's run in this tournament.

William Migely Stacks Yashuo Chin to Become the Chip Leader

Niveau 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Four players saw a flop of {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and action checked to William Migely who bet. Two opponents folded and Yasho Chin made a pot-sized check-raise. Migely jammed to put Chin to a decision for her stack and she snap-called. The two players were very nearly even in chips.

Chin: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Migley: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}

Chin had the lead with top set but Migely had the nut-flush draw, so Chin had to dodge diamonds in order to double-up.

The {3-Clubs} on the turn was a safe card for Chin, but the {4-Diamonds} river gave Migely the nut flush and he took the pot to send Chin to the cage and seize the chip lead by miles.

Niveau 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Igor Sharaskin raised to 3,600 from early position and Toby Joyce made a pot-sized three-bet to 13,200 from the cutoff. Sharaskin called.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Sharaskin checked. Joyce tossed out a single orange 5,000 chip and Sharaskin quickly folded.

"I think I might have had aces," joked Joyce as he stacked the pot.

James Hughes On Crumbs

Niveau 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
James Hughes
James Hughes

James Hughes and Nadar Kakhmazov had very similar chip stacks going into the hand and they were all in on a flop of {4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}.

Nadar Kakhmazov: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}
James Hughes: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The turn card was the {j-Clubs} the river the {5-Clubs} and Kakhmazov's two pair was good.

The stacks were counted down and Hughes had the bigger stack, but after Kakhmazov took such a huge bite out of it Hughes is now left with crumbs.

Jon Lane Eliminated

Niveau 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

With a substantial pot already brewing and the board reading {J-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}, Jon Lane had the button and got his entire stack in the middle against Justin Gardenhire, who was in middle position.

Lane: {Q-}{Q-}{10-}{2-}
Gardenhire: {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Both players flopped straights, but Lane had the best of it with the queen-high straight to Gardenhire's jack-high straight. However, Lane still had to dodge spades, jacks, and eights which would give Gardenhire a flush or full house. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn was a safe card for Lane, but the {A-Spades} river wasn't and Gardenhire took the pot with a flush to eliminate Lane.

Timothy Woodson: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Daniel Spencer: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

The turn {4-Diamonds} and river {5-Spades} saw Spencer finish with the bigger boat and he gobbled up the last of Woodson’s stack.
