"Hand of the Century"; Mike Leah Nearly Triples Up

Niveau 3 : 50/75, 0 ante
Mike Leah
Mike Leah

Big-O

"Wow, hand of the century," said Allen Kessler, as a big pot was brewing at his table.

The flop was {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and a three-way all-in developed.

Mike Leah: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Opponent 1: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Opponent 2: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

Leah was in the lead with queens and sixes, although one of his opponents was drawing to a better low.

The turn was the {7-Hearts}, counterfeiting Leah's lead as one of his opponents made aces up to pull ahead. However, the river was the {6-Clubs}, giving Leah sixes full of queens to double through one opponent for 6,400 and eliminate the other.

"You'll tell your kids where you were when the hand of the century went down," said Matt Vengrin to the rest of the table.

Woods Over Matusow

Niveau 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Big-O

Following the turn of an {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} board, Mike Matusow (big blind) and James Woods (cutoff) each committed about 1,200 to the pot.

"I don't even wanna see the river, I check dark," said Matusow, covering his face.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and Woods bet the pot of 3,675.

"Well it's pretty hard to lose with this after that flop," said Matusow, showing the table {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, as he folded.

"I had it," said Woods, who showed {4-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a wheel as he collected the pot.

Levy Slips

Niveau 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Big-O

Following a flop of {J-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} with 675 in the pot, Avi Levy checked from under the gun and the player in middle position bet 500. William Kopp called from the cutoff and Levy called. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and Levy checked to the middle-position player who bet 1,500. Kopp folded, Levy called, and the {7-Hearts} river completed the board. Levy checked for a third time and the middle-position player shoved for roughly 5,500. Levy thought it over briefly before he folded.
