Marcus Mizzi Doubles; Scotty Nguyen Bust

Niveau 18 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Hold'em

Yong Wang opened from the button. In the next seat over, Marcus Mizzi raised. Alex Livingston raised from the big blind. Wang folded, but Mizzi called all in for the rest of his stack.

Mizzi was holding {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and was well ahead of Livingston's {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. The board rolled out clean for Mizzi, never offering a hint of a sweat, and that was good for him to double through.

Meanwhile, on an adjacent table, Scotty Nguyen busted to Ryan Himes in a hand of Razz.

Koral Running "Hottest He's Ever Ran," Busts West

Niveau 18 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Stud

Tom Koral ({j-Diamonds}) and Tom West ({q-Spades}) got a series of bets in on the first round, and Koral caught a {7-Diamonds} and check-raised. West called and then both checked fifth.

Koral: {x-}{x-}/{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}
West: {x-}{x-}/{q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

West bet sixth and then checked seventh. Koral bet, and West called. Koral showed {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a flush, leaving West with a mere 23,000.

Right after that, West got his remaining chips in with {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} against Koral's {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}/{7-Clubs}. The rolled up jacks were a monster favorite, but Koral tried looking on the bright side.

"I guess I need to make a straight."

He ran out {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} to do just that, busting West when "SBRounder" did not improve.

Koral admitted he is running the best he's ever ran in a WSOP limit tournament.

Steike Hits a Big River to Take From Hughes

Niveau 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Hold'em

Ryan Hughes opened with a raise. He was three bet by David Steicke from the button. Hughes called.

On the {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} flop, Hughes checked to Steicke, who bet. Hughes raised and Steicke called

The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and Hughes bet again, Steicke called.

On the {K-Clubs} river, both players checked. Hughes showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} but it was no good as Steicke made two pair with his {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} on the river.

"That was a frigid river," Brandon Cantu said from a few seats over.

Tyler Groth Hits the Rail

Niveau 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Razz

Nikolai Fal Fal had Tyler Groth all in and at risk.

Fal's board completed with {K-}{j-}{9-}{4-}{5-}{7-}{2-} for a ninety-seven low. Groth was showing {10-}{A-}{9-}{4-}{5-}{A-}{K-} for a ten-nine low, and that was it for him.

After his bracelet win earlier in the series from Event #25: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha, Groth will take home $6,186 for his 31st place finish here in Event #44.
