Half a Milly for Adrien Allain

Niveau 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

A player in late position moved all in for about 40,000 and Adrien Allain called from the big blind.

The late-position player was at risk with {a-Spades}{3-Spades} and it is unlikely he ever imagined he would be flipping with that hand with Allain holding {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

The board ran out {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Allain filled up just for good measure to eliminate his opponent.

Another player at the table said, "Man, you're on fire" as Allain stacked his chips. He has built his stack up to 500,000 and appears to be the first to do so in this monstrous field.

Sick Scott Davies

Niveau 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The player in the big blind led out for 18,000 on the turn of a board reading {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Scott Davies in late position called.

The river was the scary looking {a-Clubs} and it was duly checked to Davies. He cut out some chips and slid forward a bet of 40,000. His opponent didn’t look too happy but matched the bet.

Davies showed him his {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flush winner and stacked the chips.

Another player at the table looking on asked, “How do you get the cards to do that? That is sick.”

Men The Master Finds a Friend in Steve Watts

Niveau 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Men Nguyen_Steve Watts
Men Nguyen_Steve Watts

Men “The Master” Nguyen and Steve Watts from England have been sat next to each other since before the bubble today and the jokes, or “banter” as they call it in England, flying between them has seen them strike up a friendship with plenty of teasing each other.

Nguyen is calling Watts German and telling him to speak English to which Watts replied, “Hello, darling,” which cracked Nguyen up. Watts then called Nguyen his Indian friend which prompted The Master to jokingly call the floor.

Poker is still going on at the same time with Nguyen shoving from the small blind over an open. Watts folded the big blind and the original raiser mucked so Nguyen showed his {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

On the next hand, the same player opened, Nguyen folded the button and it was Watts who moved all in from the small blind. This time the player in the big blind called to put Watts at risk of elimination.

Watts: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Big blind: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

Watts got a big double-up and the friendship now has more time to blossom. Nguyen said he had never visited England; maybe an invitation will be forthcoming?

Tammy Wing Heads North Instead of South

Niveau 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Just moments ago, Tammy Wing was sitting on 13,000 in chips and now has 140,000 in front of her.

Wing explained that she first got her short stack in the middle with pocket nines and survived against ace-king and pocket fours to get her to a workable stack.

A short while later, Wing picked up two aces and got it all in preflop against ace-king of hearts and jack-ten. She was able to hold on yet again, and now has a healthy stack to work with.
