Peter Coulombe Takes a Big Pot From Martin Kabrhel

Niveau 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Martin Kabrhel opened from the cutoff and got a call from the player in the small blind before Peter Coulombe three-bet to 55,000 from the big blind. Kabrhel called, and the small blind folded.

“What is your name?” Kabrhel wanted to know. “Mine is Martin.”

“After the hand,” Coulombe insisted.

The flop was {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, and Coulombe check-called a bet of 75,000 from Kabrhel. The turn was the {a-Clubs}, and a check from Coulombe saw another bet from Kabrhel — this time for 168,000. Again, Coulombe called. The river was the {3-Hearts}, and Coulombe checked for the last time. Some messing about with his remaining stack by Kabrhel took up a short time, but he thought better of it and checked behind.

Coulombe showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, and Kabrhel mucked.

“So, what’s your name?” Kabrhel asked again.

“Pete,” replied Coulombe.

“Ah, Peter. If I’d have known that, I wouldn’t have tried to bluff you. Very clever.”
