Scott Clements Eliminated by Jeff Manning

Niveau 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Scott Clements was part of a group of players who entered during the last level. He got all in very shortly after sitting down. He raised the pot from middle position and got one caller before Jeff Manning re-raised the pot and the one caller folded. That left Clements and Manning heads-up preflop with Clements' tournament life on the line.

Clements had {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} against the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} of Manning. The board ran out {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}, and Manning won the hand and eliminated Clements.

Clements is just two days removed from his fourth-place finish in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, where he took home $277,786.

Esther Taylor Climbs the Leaderboard

Niveau 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

There was a raise to 1,100 from the player under the gun, and the button called, along with Esther Taylor in the small blind and the big blind.

The flop came {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Taylor led out for 2,200. The under-the-gun player called, along with the button. The turn was the {10-Clubs}, and Taylor made a pot-sized bet of 11,000. Her first opponent thought for a couple minutes before calling for his remaining 9,600 chips, and the button quickly folded.

Taylor tabled {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, and her opponent showed {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The river landed the {7-Clubs}, and Taylor thought she lost the pot to her opponent's straight. After re-evaluating the cards, though, everyone realized there was no straight for her opponent. Taylor won the pot with two pair and now has a big stack of chips to work with.

Hoang won the side pot with {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and Drinan won the main pot with {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} for trip fives.

Loren Klein
Loren Klein

Loren Klein won his first WSOP gold bracelet last year in this event. He followed that up with a second-place finish to Brandon Shack-Harris in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament.

From June 26, 2016 to June 25 2017, Klein added two bracelets and all but $500,000 of his $1.635 million in live tournament earnings to his résumé.

Klein is the defending Champion in this event, he won his second bracelet this summer in Event #41: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha for $241,483, and he won two other series' Main Events during that time, as well.

Klein is off to a decent start in this event, as he has almost 30,000 chips.

Casey Yontz raised, and Allen Cunningham called all in for less preflop.
