On the final hand of the night, Chris Moorman moved all in preflop and was put at risk by Ryan Laplante.
Moorman:
Laplante:
Moorman was in great shape but a six in the flop gave Laplante the lead and it held through the turn and river to send Moorman to the rail in 17th place, good for $8,137.
Shannon Shorr raised to 22,000 from the cutoff. Patrik Korsar three-bet shoved 304,000 from the big blind. Shorr gave it over a minute of thought, then flicked in a call.
Korsar:
Shorr:
The flop kept Korsar in front. The on the turn swung it to Shorr and left Korsar with just two outs. The on the river sealed it, and Korsar was eliminated.
Khorchidian Nichan raised from under the gun and Millard Hale defended his big blind. On the flop, Hale check-raised all in and Nichan called.
Hale:
Nichan:
Hale needed a spade or a jack to survive but bricked twice with the on the turn and on the river. Hale, who had topped the standings during the early stages of the day, saw his shot at WSOP glory come to an end in 22nd place.
Ashly Butler raised to 28,000 from the cutoff. Ivan Deyra shoved around 100,000 from the button, Ryan Laplante reshoved from the blinds, covering both players. Butler tanked and folded, leaving himself with 80,000 behind.
Deyra:
Laplante:
"I folded ace-queen-jack-jack," said Butler.
The flop was absolutely devastating to Deyra: .
"That'll do it," remarked Laplante casually.
The on the turn and on the river were just for the statistics. Deyra was the last player to receive $6,718.
