Richardson Takes From Hellmuth

Niveau 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Ben Richardson was in late position and raised to 1,800. Phil Hellmuth was in the big blind and defended.

The flop was {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, and both players checked to the turn, which was the {j-Clubs}. Richardson bet 2,700, and Hellmuth check-raised to 5,500. Richardson called. The river was the {j-Spades}, and Hellmuth checked. Richardson fired out a bet of 9,500, sending the 14-time WSOP champ into a bit of disbelief.

After assessing things, Hellmuth elected to fold, flashing a king. Richardson, with a smile, also showed a king prior to mucking his other card.

Chris "Jesus" Ferguson Hits the Devil Hand

Niveau 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Chris Ferguson
Chris Ferguson

A player in late position raised to 2,000. Chris Ferguson was in the big blind and moved all in for roughly 15,000. The player in late position moved all in, as well, for roughly 11,000.

Chris Ferguson: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-}{k-}

The flop was {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, putting Ferguson well behind. The powers that be were having none of it, though, as the {6-Clubs} was produced on the turn. That gave Ferguson trips and left his opponent drawing dead as the dealer tabled the {9-Spades} on the river.

Hey, What's Phil Hellmuth Up To?

Niveau 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Glad you asked, Phil Hellmuth is currently sitting with 45,000. Here are his recent hands:

Hand #1: Hellmuth raised from the small blind to 2,400, and the big blind folded.

Hand #2: The very next hand, a player raised from early position, and Hellmuth three-bet to 5,600 to win the pot.

Hand #3: For the third hand in a row, Hellmuth joined the pot, but this time he limped for the 800 big blind. Ben Richardson raised from the big blind, making it 2,200 more, and Hellmuth called.

The flop was {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, and both players checked. The turn was the {6-Clubs}, and Richardson bet 2,500. Hellmuth folded.

"You win," Hellmuth said as he folded. "That's round one. I limped with aces earlier. I don't just play hands, I play the people."

Hand #4: "I'm steaming now. I folded ace-four suited to him. I'm going to make it seventeen hundred."

The small blind and the big blind both called Hellmuth's middle-position raise. The flop came {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, and the action checked to Hellmuth.

"Forty-two hundred," Hellmuth said the instant the action was on him, and both of his opponents folded.

A player in late position opened the action to 1,600. The player in the cutoff called, and Joe Serock three-bet to 6,000 on the button. Mikolaj Zawadzki was in the small blind and four-bet to 13,500. Action folded back to Serock, and he called.

The flop was {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, and Zawadszki bet 9,500. Serock didn't waste any time sending his cards into the muck.

Aces Are Good

Niveau 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

David Jacobson got it all in preflop, having his opponent's remaining 7,500 covered. Jacobson tabled {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}, and his opponent showed {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, and Jacobson added to his stack, which has been consistently growing all day.
