Jachtmann Doubles Through Josephy

Niveau 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Jan-Peter Jachtmann
Jan-Peter Jachtmann

Picking up the action on the three-way turn of {J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, Jan-Peter Jachtmann faced a bet of 66,000 from Cliff Josephy, in the cutoff, and check-called while the third player in the hand let it go. The {2-Diamonds} river completed the board, and Jachtmann moved all in for his last 20,300.

After brief consideration, Josephy announced, "Okay I call," and Jachtmann turned over {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for the nut flush. Josephy wanted to muck his cards, but as per the showdown rules, Jachtmann insisted that the cards were revealed. Josephy had {Q-Diamonds}{J-}{8-Diamonds}{7-} for the queen-high flush and lost the vast majority of his stack.

The next hand, Jachtmann limped in from the small blind, and Anthony Zinno checked in the big blind. Jachtmann check-called a bet of 2,200 from Zinno on the {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop and did so again for 4,000 on the {K-Hearts} turn. Jachtmann then bet the {3-Hearts} river for 15,000, and Zinno folded.

Saliba and Arieh Get Short

Niveau 8 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

In a three-way pot, Josh Arieh checked from under the gun and was the only player to call a bet of 5,000 from Ismael Bojang, in the cutoff, on a {K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop. Arieh also checked the {5-Hearts} turn, and Bojang asked, "How much do you have behind, like 40?"

Arieh replied with, "Not that much, only 29," and Bojang bet 10,000 just moments later. Arieh elected to fold and dropped back to a dangerous short stack.

Vivian Saliba has even less than that on a different table, and both will have to make a move soon.

Saliba Stays In

Niveau 8 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

After a raise to 5,600, Vivian Saliba moved all in for her last 11,300 and the initial raiser called with {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

Saliba was ahead with {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and the opponent said "I like my hand." That was until the flop came {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Neither the {4-Spades} turn nor the {4-Diamonds} river changed anything and Saliba doubled up her short stack.

Zhou Doubles With Aces Versus Aces

Niveau 8 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

There was only 6,600 in the middle and the board was showing {K-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Xinyan Zhou was jumping out of his chair in joy while the massage girl that had been taken care of him stood back with a smile.

Soon enough, the reason for the joy became apparent, as the stack of Zhou worth 206,000 in total was counted. According to other players at the table, Zhou got into a raising war with Ben Tollerene and both got their stacks in preflop.

Tollerene had {A-}{A-}{10-}{7-} and Zhou's {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} ended up as the winner, as he turned a straight to crack aces and score a massive double.
