Steven van Zadelhoff Keeps Stacking

Niveau 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

With about 2,000 in the pot on a board reading {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, the players in the small and big blinds checked. Steven van Zadelhoff was in middle position and bet 1,300. The small blind called and the big blind paused for a moment before check-raising to 3,800. Van Zadelhoff called and the small blind folded.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and both players checked to the {j-Clubs} on the river. The big blind checked again, and van Zadelhoff bet 3,600. His opponent tanked for a while before eventually releasing his hand.

Van Zadelhoff is now sitting on triple the starting stack midway through Day 1a.

Austin Buchanan Turns Things Around

Niveau 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

On a board reading {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} with around 12,000 in the pot, Austin Buchanan bet 7,600 from the small blind. His opponent called from the cutoff, and the {4-Spades} fell on the river. Buchanan bet 21,500, and his opponent made no hesitation calling. Buchanan tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} for a full house and scooped a healthy pot.

Buchanan had a tough start to the day and was down to around 30,000 early on. After building himself back up to a starting stack, he found himself flopping a full house with pocket queens. He will look to carry on this upward trend for the remainder of the day.

Eldridge Raises Big

Niveau 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

David Eldridge raised to what looked like 1,200 after an early-position player limped. The big blind called, as did the limper.

Everyone checked the {q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop. On the {4-Hearts} turn, the big blind bet 2,000, and the limper caller. Eldridge fired in a sizable raise to 10,200. That chased away the big blind but not the under-the-gun player, who called. The {7-Hearts} river brought four to a straight and prompted two checks.

The first player showed {10-}{7-} for a pair on the river, but Eldridge had that beat with {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

On an {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, Todd Bareika and a third player checked to Jessica Dawley, who bet 1,700 on the button. Bareika called, and the other player folded. Both players checked the {A-Hearts} on the turn. On the {4-Spades} river, Bareika bet 5,200. Dawley paused for a moment before raising to 12,000, and Bareika called without much hesitation.

Dawley confidently tabled {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for the rivered full house, but Bareika held {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a higher full house to scoop the pot.
