Salter Parts Way With Chunk of Chips

Niveau 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Dennis Phillips, who finished third in this tournament back in 2008, opened, and Louis Salter called from middle position. The player in the big blind squeezed, and Phillips folded. Salter called.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, and the big blind made a continuation bet. Salter called in position and saw the {9-Clubs} roll off on the turn. The big blind checked, and Salter bet 18,500. The big blind shoved for about 60,000, and Salter called after some time in the tank.

Louis Salter: {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Big blind: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}

The river {Q-Spades} wasn't one of the cards Salter was looking for, and he parted with some of his hard-earned chips.

In a recent hand, Timoshenko was involved in a three-way pot with around 14,000 in the middle preflop. The flop came {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and the player in early position checked to Timoshenko. He bet 5,600, the button folded, and his other opponent called. The turn was the {2-Spades}, and the action was checked to Timoshenko again. This time he bet 12,600, and his opponent released his hand into the muck.

Timoshenko scooped the pot and is now above starting stack.

Dhawan Sinks Griener's Ladies

Niveau 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Rohan Dhawan
Rohan Dhawan

Jared Griener opened with a middle-position raise to 3,600 and was met with a call in the cutoff before Rohan Dhawan three-bet the button to 12,000. Griener called and the cutoff folded.

The flop fell {J-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, and Griener checked. Dhawan bet 16,000, and Griener called. The turn landed the {9-Diamonds}, and Griener checked once again. Dhawan bet 26,000 and was now met with a Griener check-raise all in amounting to roughly 60,000. Dhawan, who had roughly 80,000 total, tossed in a chip to signify a call.

Griener: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Dhawan: {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

With Dhawan turning a full house, Griener needed to find one of the last ladies in the deck on the river.

Unfortunately for him, however, the river landed the {8-Clubs}, and Griener was sent to the rail as Dhawan climbed to nearly 200,000 in chips.

Billy Baxter
Billy Baxter

Billy Baxter raised to 4,000 from the cutoff, and the small blind called.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, and both players checked. They checked the {3-Hearts} turn as well. The {8-Spades} fell on the river, and the small blind checked again. Baxter bet 5,000, and after brief contemplation, the small blind called.

Baxter tabled {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a pair of aces with no kicker, and it was good enough to win the pot.

Kenny Hallaert

Kenny Hallaert has been trending up in the past hour and currently sits at 245,000 courtesy of a big hand he just played.

The 2016 November Niner raised to 3,600 from the cutoff, and the player in the big blind defended.

The flop came down {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, and Hallaert continued for 3,500, which was called. The turn brought the {J-Clubs}, and the big blind checked again. Hallaert bet 11,000, the big blind check-raised all in for 40,000 or so, and Hallaert called.

Kenny Hallaert: {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Big blind: {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Both players held two pair, with Hallaert having the bigger ones. The big blind needed a jack on the river, but he didn't catch one and was eliminated.

Smalley Among the Big Stacks

Niveau 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Larry Smalley spent the entire day next to big stack Albert Daher, and the tides have since changed, as Smalley moved out of the middle of the pack and among the chip leaders.

In a recent hand, Smalley went to the river of a {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} board and claimed the 70,000-chip pot by moving all in for more than 370,000. His sole remaining opponent elected to fold to award the chips to Smalley.

Tough Table for Convey

Niveau 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Marc Convey just open-shoved for around 25,000 and claimed the blinds and antes. The British poker commentator and former live reporter remains short-stacked and faces tough competition with the likes of Thomas Muehloecker, Chi Zhang, Michael Song, and Usman Siddique at his table. However, the table talk is lively, and Convey remains in good spirit.
