Rezaei Eliminated by Petrov

Niveau 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Dutch Boyd raised from the hijack and was called by Petar Petrov in the cutoff. Daniel Rezaei shoved for his last 9,000 on the button. Action folded back to Boyd who called and so did Petrov.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}, Boyd-check-folded to Petrov's bet of 10,000.

Daniel Rezaei: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Petar Petrov: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Petrov was ahead with the higher pocket pair and the {j-Clubs} on the turn and the {2-Hearts} on the river didn't change the situation as Rezaei was sent away to try again tomorrow.

Hirvonen Wins a Massive Pot

Niveau 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Mikko Hirvonen
Mikko Hirvonen

After a raise and a call in front of him, Mikko Hirvonen three-bet on the button. Gerrit Muller was in the big blind and stuck in a four-bet to 26,000. The action was folded back to Hirvonen who five-bet jammed for 114,500. Muller had him covered and made the call.

Mikko Hirvonen: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Gerrit Muller: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Hirvonen was in a dominating position heading to the flop of {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The {9-Clubs} on the turn provided some chop outs but the {8-Diamonds} bricked off as Hirvonen scored a massive double up. Muller was back to a short stack after recently busting Michael Soyza while Hirvonen soared over 200,000 chips.

Bozhinoski Doubles Up Again

Niveau 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Simon Bozhinoski
Simon Bozhinoski

Simon Bozhinoski raised to 2,600 from mid-position and Mikko Hirvonen three-bet to 8,000 from the hijack. Gerrit Muller four-bet to 21,000 on the button. Bozhinoski tried to shove by pushing all his chips over the line but didn't announce anything so was forced to just call. Hirvonen folded.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Bozhinoski now checked. Muller put in a stack of 5,000-value chips and Bozhinoski went all-in for his last 31,500 which was actually less than what had Muller bet.

Simon Bozhinoski: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Gerrit Muller: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

"Nice try" someone at the table said and the rest all laughed, including Muller himself.

Bozhinoski had the pair of queens and Muller had a gutshot to the straight draw.

The rest of the board was completed with the {6-Hearts} on the turn and the {5-Spades} on the river to keep Bozhinoski ahead to double up.

Mustafov's Aces Send Schofield Home

Niveau 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

There was an incredibly inflated pot of around 40,000 with the board reading {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. The action was on Fahredin Mustafov under the gun who shipped all in for a little over 20,000. Christopher Schofield thought for a minute before making the call for a little less.

Mustafov tabled {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} for the best two pair while Schofield turned over a measly {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Mustafov just needed to fade a four on the river and the {j-Diamonds} did just that. Mustafov eliminated Schofield as he moved over 80,000 chips.

Bachmann Folds to Frame

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Alexander Bachmann raised to 2,200 from under the gun and was called by Manig Loeser on the button and Kevin Frame in the small blind.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, Frame check-called the 3,500 continuation-bet of Bachmann and Loeser folded.

They both checked through the {q-Diamonds} on the turn to the {a-Diamonds} on the river. Frame bet 10,000 and Bachmann folded.

Set is Good for Mayer, Deeb Takes a Seat

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

With around 16,000 in the middle and the board reading {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, the action was on William Jacobson in early position. Jacobson bet 8,300 and was called by Szabolcs Mayer in the cutoff. The big blind folded and the two players went heads-up to the {4-Clubs} on the river.

Jacobson checked this time and Mayer tossed in a bet of 12,000. Jacobson gave it some thought and decided to call. Mayer turned over {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a set of fives and Jacobson slid his cards to the muck.

The current WSOP Player of the Year leader, Shaun Deeb, also just took his seat at the table with a fresh stack of 40,000 chips.

Bozhinoski Doubles Through Sigurjonsson

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

The board read {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Simon Bozhinoski shoved for his last 10,000 and was reluctantly called by Gudmundur Sigurjonsson.

Bozhinoski tabled {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} for two pair, kings and queens, with the ace-kicker. Sigurjonsson looked defeated, toyed with his cards for a bit and then showed {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the same two pair but with the lower kicker.
