Ziegler and Vieira Chip Up

Niveau 11 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Tobias Ziegler defended his big blind against a raise by Alex Foxen in late position and the flop came {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Ziegler checked and Foxen bet 200,000, which prompted a check-min-raise to 400,000 by Ziegler. Foxen gave it some thought and called. On the {2-Clubs} turn, Ziegler bet 2,000,000, which more than covered Foxen's remaining stack.

The American high roller regular riffled his chips for a good minute before sending the cards into the muck.

A few tables over, Joao Vieira raised it up to 200,000 in the hijack and James Chen called on the button. Steve O'Dwyer in the big blind three-bet to 725,000 and picked up calls from both Vieira and Chen. What followed was a staring contest between the trio, ending in checks all the way on the {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop and the {10-Clubs} turn. O'Dwyer also checked the {K-Hearts} river and Vieira tossed out a bet of 950,000. That ended up winning the hand without showdown, as two folds followed.
