Schillhabel Drops a Couple

Niveau 6 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Andreas Eiler raised to 45,000 in the hijack with {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Stefan Schillhabel defended from the big blind with {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Both players flopped a pair on the {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop and Schillhabel began with a check. Eiler continued for 90,000 and Schillhabel called to see the {k-Hearts} on the turn. Schillhabel checked again and then folded when Eiler bet another 200,000.

In the next hand, Timothy Adams opened to 45,000 in the hijack with {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Schillhabel called with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} in the small blind and Jack Salter came along with {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} in the big blind.

The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the action checked to Adams who bet 50,000 with the best holding. Schillhabel called with his pocket pair and Salter mucked. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and Schillhabel checked again. Adams fired another 210,000 and Schillhabel quickly released his cards.

Thomas Sends Huang to the Rail

Niveau 6 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Shan Huang
Shan Huang

Julian Thomas got a part of his stack in the middle against the entire stack of Shan Huang. Shan had about 15 big blinds left when he got it in the middle with {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} against the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} of Thomas.

The flop was not the worst for Huang when the dealer spread out {2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}. The {3-Spades} turn and {9-Clubs} were not the cards Huang needed and when he got up to walk away he was still all smiles.

"I'll be back, but probably later" were his final words, for now.

Ole Schemion: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Bertrand Grospellier: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

There was an ace in the window as the board came {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Grospellier was eliminated.

Chen Eliminated by Kurganov

Niveau 5 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
James Chen
James Chen

Igor Kurganov had raised to 50,000 and big blind James Chen moved all in for 342,000 in total. Kurganov thought about it for a bit before calling the all-in bet and they got all in.

Igor Kurganov: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
James Chen: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The flop was good for Chen when it fell {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, but the {3-Hearts} turn made winning a bit tougher for Kurganov. The river was the {K-Spades} and Chen was eliminated by Kurganov.

Registration for the tournament is still open until the second level of Day 2 and there are unlimited reentries allowed.

Salter Doubles Through Eiler

Niveau 5 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Feature Table

Jack Salter raised it up to 45,000 in early position and Andreas Eiler three-bet to 170,000 on the button. The blinds folded out and Salter shipped all in for 928,000. Eiler asked for a count and then made the call to put Salter at risk.

Jack Salter: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Andreas Eiler: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The two players were flipping for stacks and the flop of {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} favored Salter. The {4-Spades} on the turn gave Eiler an extra out but the {10-Hearts} on the river secured the double up for Salter.

Durnegger Leaves Grospellier Short

Niveau 5 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Markus Durnegger raised from the cutoff to 50,000 and Bertrand Grospellier three-bet from the button to 130,000. Durnegger called and they saw a flop.

The flop was {9-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Spades} and both players checked to see the {7-Diamonds} turn. This time Durnegger bet 135,000 and Grospellier called.

Both players checked again on the {3-Clubs} river and Durnegger opened up {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for top pair. That was enough to make Grospellier muck his hand and the Frenchman has less than 20 big blinds left after that hand.
